If you're a new user, here are some easy tips to help you find
your way around HCA's health and welfare Summary Plan
Description site.
There are several ways to navigate through this site.
- Scroll bars: If the content of the page does not fit
your screen, just click the arrows located on the right side
of your screen or move the scroll bar with your mouse to move
the text up and down on your screen.
|
|
 |
-
Hyperlinks and pop-up boxes: When you see a word or
sentence that is in a contrasting color and is underlined,
you've found a hyperlink or a pop-up box. If you move your mouse
over it, your cursor turns into a hand
and you can click the link. Here’s how they work:
|
Hyperlinks take you to another section of the site or to a
different Web site (for example, a medical plan’s provider
directory) for more information.
|
|
Pop-up boxes open new windows on top of your current
screen. A pop-up box will provide a definition of a selected
term. To close the
pop-up box, just click Close window at the bottom
of the pop-up box screen.
|
|
 |
- Buttons: Go back and forward through the screens you’ve
already visited by using the browser's Back and Forward buttons.
|
|
 |
- Plan Menu: All of the benefit plans described in this
site are listed in the navigation bar on the left side of your
screen. Just click a plan to see that section of the site.
Once you are in a plan section, the plan’s major topics will
also be listed under the plan topic. You can click any of the
major topics to get the specific information you need or browse
through the entire plan content.
|
|
 |
- Key Terms: The plan descriptions may use some terms
you're unfamiliar with. It's a section
that gives definitions to many of the words used in this site,
and it is located under Other Information within the Site
Resources section. You can click on the key terms link to review
all of the terms it contains — and click the Back
button to return to the section you were reading. In addition,
many of the terms you'll read are linked to the key terms
throughout the site. If the word you are reading has a key terms
definition, you can click on it to open a new window showing the
definition — after you've read the definition, just click
"Close Window" to continue reading.
